In MailPro, you can export contacts to use data in tools like Excel, a CMS, or for analysis. You can also create selections based on filters or behavior in sent emails.
In this article, we explain the available export options and how to easily select and manage contacts.
Exporting Contacts
You can export contacts via:
Contacts > Export contacts
Here, you choose which information to include in the export. MailPro offers several export options.
Export subscribers
Under the Subscribers section, you can create a standard export of all recipients.
You can configure:
- Which database fields you want to export
- From which group(s) the contacts should come
- (Optional) which mailing(s) the recipients must have received
- A filter that contacts must meet
The export can be saved as:
- CSV file
- New group within MailPro
Export raw data
With this option, you export statistical data such as:
- Opens
- Clicks
- Activity within a specific period
Useful for reporting and analysis.
Export response (action/behavior-based export)
This allows you to export contacts who performed an action, such as:
- Opened an email
- Clicked a link
Export click behavior
This exports contacts who clicked links in the message.
This is useful if you want to see whether a contact clicked more than one link.
Note: Selecting multiple URLs works as an AND condition.
A contact must have clicked both link A and link B.
Export conversion
This exports contacts who reached conversion points.
Useful if you want to check whether a contact, for example, reached the thank-you page after making a purchase via the email.
Export triggers
Under the Triggers tab, you can export all contacts who have gone through a trigger.
You can read more about setting up triggers here:
https://mailpro.spotler.help/hc/nl/articles/30791688365202-Triggers
Export event participants
Are you using the Events module? Then you can select an event and export all participant data.
Creating a selection with filters
Do you only want to export a specific group of contacts? For example:
- A target group based on profile information
Then it’s best to use a filter.
Exporting contacts using a filter
- Create a filter
- Go to Contacts > Export contacts
- Choose the group you want to export from
- Optionally select a group that contacts must not belong to
- Select the filter
- Start the export
After completion, you will receive a CSV file by email with all contacts that meet the conditions.
Exporting contacts based on click behavior
Do you want to export contacts based on behavior in a mailing? For example:
- Everyone who opened
- Everyone who did not open
- Everyone who clicked a specific link
Go to:
Contacts > Export contacts > Click behavior
Here you can set:
- Which mailing to use
- Which behavior to select
- Which links must or must not have been clicked
AND principle
When selecting multiple links:
A contact must have clicked all selected links.
Exporting contacts to another group
Do you want to not only export contacts but also immediately move them to another group?
Use the Export to option.
This is available in the tabs:
- Subscribers
- Response
- Click behavior
- Conversion
- Triggers
You can choose:
- Export to CSV
- Export to an existing group in MailPro
