You can use the IP Whitelisting feature for regulating the access to the Spotler MailPro platform and API. This feature adds an extra layer of security. It is not obligatory to use the whitelist.
Please note: As soon as you add IP addresses to your license whitelist, there is a restriction to access the license from all IP addresses apart from the listed ones.
How to access the feature?
Go to Admin → IP Whitelist. The role area for IP whitelisting has not been assigned to any role by default to prevent users from adjusting the whitelist that should not. To access the IP whitelisting section, the role area should be assigned to your role first.
How does it work?
The allowed IP addresses will be regulated in a list of IP addresses in the Spotler MailPro interface, a so-called whitelist. It is possible to insert regular (IPv4) IP addresses as well as IPv6. Beyond a single address, it is also possible to add a range of addresses. The fastest way to add a large set of IP addresses is by uploading a CSV file using the Import section at the right bottom of the screen.
Important: When you have added an address to the list, it means that all other IP addresses cannot access or log in anymore to the Spotler MailPro platform. We highly recommend to only use this list in consult with your security/IT team because it is easy to lock yourself out of the platform if you list an incorrect address. It is therefore essential to add your own and the office IP address first if you are going to use the IP whitelist.
Important when working with the API: Active SOAP or REST connections will also be regulated by the whitelist. If you have any active SOAP or REST connections, be sure to whitelist those IP addresses as well.
