Use the Contact-import scheduler to automatically import a file from an external connection into a group at scheduled times.
First, create and test an external connection. Then configure which file to import, which group to import it into, and when the import should run.
The Contact-import scheduler is not a standard part of Spotler MailPro. Are you interested in this functionality? Then please contact your account manager or mail to sales@spotler.com so that this functionality can be activated for you.
Preparation
Before creating an import schedule, make sure that:
- The Contact-import scheduler is activated in your MailPro environment.
- You have created and tested an external connection.
- The file to import is available at the configured external location.
- You know which group the contacts should be imported into.
Create an import schedule
- Go to Data → Contact-import scheduler → Insert.
- Select the external connection containing your import file.
- Enter the name of the file to import.

Select the group to import the contacts into and configure the import schedule.
- Save the schedule.
Send a mailing when a contact is added to the group
To send a mailing when an imported contact is added to the selected group, create an automation flow with the starting point When a contact is added to a group.
This starting point responds to a contact being added to the group. It does not trigger a mailing for every existing group member whenever an import runs.
