Automations overview

In the Automations section of Spotler MailPro, you can set up automated email campaigns, such as a welcome or birthday campaign. These campaigns are built using flows: a sequence of steps that are automatically executed based on a trigger, such as a signup or a specific date.

This page also allows you to manage existing flows, such as editing, deactivating, or deleting them.

Automation overview

No flows created yet

If you haven’t created any flows yet, the page will be empty and you’ll only see a button to start creating an automated flow.

At the top of the page, you’ll see the following tabs:

  • In use: Active and inactive flows. New flows are placed here.
  • Archived: Flows that have been inactive for 6 months are automatically archived. They are permanently deleted after 2 additional months.
  • Templates: Flows saved as templates. A template can’t be used directly but serves as the basis for a new flow. Use the More menu to copy it.

In the top-right corner, the blue + Create flow button starts a new flow from scratch. Next to it is a search field to find a flow by title.

Below the tabs, the In use tab offers two additional filter options: Status and Sort by. With Status, you can choose between all flows, only active flows, or only inactive ones. The Sort by menu lets you sort flows by their creation date or name, either in ascending or descending order.

Overview

The overview of flows displays each flow’s current status (green for active, white for inactive), the name you've assigned, the creation date, and—if available—the date of the last activity.

Side panel options

When you click on a flow, the side panel for options of the flow open up.

  • Flow name: View and edit the name
  • Status: Indicates if a flow is Active or Inactive
  • Blue Edit button: Opens the Flow builder to modify your flow
  • White More button:
    • Preview: View a preview of the flow
    • Copy: Copy an existing flow. Duplicated flows are inactive by default
    • Copy to: Copy the flow to another campaign
    • Copy as Template: Save the flow as a template under the Templates tab
    • Delete: Permanently delete the flow
  • Green Publish button: Make the flow live
  • Flow deactivation: Configure automated deactivation settings
  • Flow goal (optional): Add or edit a custom goal for the flow

Note

Not all options listed below are available in every tab. The Archived and Templates tabs have limited functionality. For example, publishing a flow is only available under the In use tab.
