In Spotler MailPro, dynamic mailing allows you to use sender details per contact. This means a single mailing can be sent from different senders, such as individual account managers, based on contact fields within the software.
What is dynamic mailing?
Dynamic mailing means that the sender name and sender email of a mailing are determined by data stored in the contact profile, instead of using one fixed sender for all recipients.
This is typically used to make emails more personal, for example by sending a mailing on behalf of the account manager assigned to each contact.
On this page, the following topics are covered:
How dynamic mailing works
Dynamic mailing uses specific contact fields that store sender information. When these fields are present for a contact, Spotler MailPro can use them as the sender of the mailing.
This allows one mailing to be sent where each recipient sees a different sender, depending on the data in their contact profile.
This is commonly used when contacts are linked to an account manager, enabling more personalized and relevant communication.
Note
Dynamic mailing only works when the required fields are present on the contact. If these fields are missing, the default sender will be used.
Which fields are used
The following fields are used for dynamic mailing:
| Field name | Description |
sender_name |
Name of the sender. |
sender_email |
Email address of the sender. |
reply_name |
Name for the reply-to address. |
reply_email |
Email address for the reply-to address. |
These fields override the default sender settings of the mailing. This means the values stored in the contact are used as the sender and reply-to details.
For instructions on how to configure these fields, see: What are Magic Hidden Fields?
Choosing between dynamic and default sending
In the mailing settings, you can choose whether to use the contact-level sender fields or the default sender settings of the mailing.
This allows you to decide per mailing whether you:
- Send dynamically (based on contact fields)
- Use a fixed sender
This option is only visible when the required fields are available.
For more information on where to find and configure this setting, see: Send mailing
