Overall campaigns are those that make use of database fields set up at a central level. The data in these fields is accessible across all campaigns marked as "overall," making it distinct from regular campaigns where database fields are only available in the specific campaign they are created in.

Difference between Overall and Non-Overall Campaigns

When creating a campaign, you must decide whether to use the overall list. The difference is:

  • Overall Campaign: An overall campaign uses a central database to store contact information. Data from a contact is accessible across all overall campaigns they are part of. If a contact is modified in one overall campaign, the changes are reflected in all others. Overall campaigns are marked with [overall] in the campaign list.
  • Non-Overall Campaign: A non-overall campaign uses a database that is exclusive to that specific campaign. Contact details are only stored within that campaign, and modifications will not impact any other campaigns.

When to Choose an Overall Campaign

You should choose an overall campaign when:

  • You want to use data relevant across multiple campaigns.
