In Spotler MailPro, we offer polls. These allow you to ask your recipients questions. They can then vote on one of the provided answers. A poll is a useful tool to get to know your audience.
To create a poll, you need a poll block in the drag & drop editor. This block is not a standard part of Spotler MailPro. Are you interested in polls? Then please contact your account manager or mail to sales@spotler.com so that this block can be built for you.
In this article, you will read
Create a poll
To create the poll, go to Content → Polls. Click Insert. A screen will open where you can enter the question and answers. A poll must have at least two answers and can have a maximum of five. Fill in the question and answers. Optionally copy the question and answers before you click Ok at the bottom to save. You will need them again in the email.
After saving, the poll will appear in the list. To make the poll ID visible, click the gear icon in the top right and check the box for Id. You will need this poll ID to link the poll to your email.
Add the poll to the email
Drag the poll block onto the canvas in the drag & drop editor. The options for configuring the poll will appear on the right. The poll block is customized for you, so the available options may differ slightly from the example below.
Enter the poll ID here and select the number of answers you created in the poll.
Then enter the question and answers exactly as you created them in the poll.
The poll is now ready to be sent.
Once the recipient clicks on one of the options to vote, their vote is registered, and they will be redirected to a page displaying the current results.
View the results
After sending the email, view the poll results by going back to Content → Polls. Click the arrows under Status next to the poll. A pop-up will appear, showing how many times each option was selected and the percentage of votes for each.
It is also possible to reset the poll, for example, if you want to reuse it for a different audience. To do this, click the Reset button.
