Introduction
Harald will give you a brief introduction to Groups and uploading contacts in Spotler MailPro.
Step 1 Prepare list
Before sending your first newsletter, reflect on who should receive it. Make sure your list is checked for these points:
Has every email address explicitly consented to receive your newsletters? Make sure your audience meets opt-in requirements.
- Filter on confirmed opt-in or subscription status.
- Exclude contacts with withdrawn consent or complaints to protect deliverability.
Are all email addresses valid and up to date? Clean lists reduce bounces and safeguard your sender reputation.
- Check for syntax errors and obvious typos (e.g., gamil.com).
- Exclude addresses that have not engaged for a long period.
Step 2 Understanding Groups
When you send a mailing to contacts, they need to be uploaded in a group. In Spotler MailPro you have default system groups you can use for example; Subscribers or Opt-in. When a contact signs up, they are added to the Opt-in group. After confirming their subscription, the contact is moved to the Subscribers group. This process is also known as the opt-in procedure. You can also upload contacts directly to the Group: Subscribers. In this case, we will use this group.
Get more personal
If you really want to get personal in your email communication, it's important to collect as much information as possible about your recipients. The more data you know about your newsletter subscribers, the better you can compose a relevant email based on the wishes of your subscribers. Based on that information you can create new groups.

Step 3 Upload your contacts
If your account does not yet contain any contacts, start by uploading a file. Mailings can only be sent to recipients who have explicitly opted in. Before importing, make sure every value in your file has a corresponding database field in Spotler MailPro.
Go to Data> Upload contacts and upload a CSV file.
Select the right Group: Subscribers. Did you create a new group? Then select the group you have created.
Under Match fields, you will map the fields in your account, with the fields in your file.
Click Ok, to import.
