New Features in Webpower 11.4
Boost your productivity by pulling external content feeds into your email
Make use of external content feeds and fill your emails instantly and automatically, with no manual work involved. These feeds can include text, images, links and more, depending on your needs. For example, an RSS news feed can pull all news items from your website and put them in the mail. Or via a json product feed, for example, pull all the products from your website and put them in the same mail. For the technicians among us: by using Twig Syntax, you can define exactly which data you want to include in your mail and where you want to use it. This always ensures that the right content is added to the right area in your emails every time you use the external content feeds. Not using this yet? Then it's definitely something to investigate and start implementing. Thanks to smart techniques, it is also possible to abort the sending of your mailing as soon as an external content feed is not available.
Managing external content feeds
We made it easy to manage all your external content feeds in one place in order to use them in your emails. You can find information on how to do this here. Webpower supports different content types: json, rss, xml and open graph meta tags. Each content feed can easily be checked on its availability and validated if the structure is valid. That way you can be assured of the right content for your email.
Automatically importing recipients data from external data sources
Spending a lot of time manually importing recipients? No more thanks to the use of external data sources. Administrators can now configure data to be imported automatically and on a fixed schedule from a predefined external data source. For example, consider an automatic import at 08:00 in the morning of your recipients from an SFTP. This saves time-consuming import tasks and ensures an up-to-date list of recipients.
Managing external data sources
Manage your external data sources (such as SFTP, HTTPS) in one place. Webpower supports different authentication types for SFTP: username + password, username + private key, username + private key + password phrase. In addition, you also easily test for connectivity to the data source, as well as for read, write and delete permissions. So you can be sure that the data is safe and in good hands. You can use the external data sources in many places within Webpower's user interface, as well as via the API.
Manually import recipients and export data using external data sources
Of course, it is also possible to import recipients manually from a predefined external data source. That way, you keep control. Manually export results from your campaigns such as raw data, responses, click behaviour, conversion, triggers and event attendees to a predefined external data source to use in another system, for example.
Importing recipients from an external data sources via the API
We extended the following API call so that you can also import recipients now from a predefined external data source:
Improve your online account security via SSO
Use Single-Sign On (SSO) with Microsoft Azure to further secure your Webpower account. Now manage access to Webpower using Microsoft Azure Groups (using OpenID). Users within an Azure Group of your Microsoft environment, can automatically access Webpower using the Microsoft Single Sign-On procedure. The Group Mappings between Webpower roles and AzureGroups is easy to manage.
Use Webpower in the French language
Did you know that French is the fifth most-spoken language in the world? Therefore, we made the user interface of Webpower now available in French.
Connect a role to a variable in a content block or template
Make specific variables in a content block editable or read-only for a role that a user has. So for example, the footer text can only be edited by a user with the role “Administrator“, but not for a user with the role “Marketeer“. If no role is selected, it will be editable for all roles/users. That way you keep control over who is allowed to do what in which mailing.
Improvements
Flow Builder | update wait until step
Currently the “wait until match filter step” is being abused to make sure the send out is done at a specific time. To improve the performance of the Flow Builder and increase the user experience we have updated the “wait until step” so it is not necessarily tied to a specific date, but possibly also only a time. This makes it also possible to test your flows easier.
Prevent unauthorized usage of sender domains
Thanks to additional manual validation checks, it is not possible to simply add sender domains. After adding a sender domain, a verification email is sent to validate the requested sender domain. This verification email must be an existing email address within the requested sender domain in order to filter out fake addresses. The user then receives the verification which contains a link to confirm the requested domain. The domain is then added to the list of validated domains. In the Webpower user interface, the validated domain is selected, leaving only the 'local' part of the email address to enter.
Landing Pages | enable reCAPTCHA by default
reCAPTCHA is now on by default on landing pages. This prevents subscription bombing with fake email addresses.
Anonymization feature
You are now able update the scheduled anonymization task and also schedule more than one anonymization tasks which was limited to one task.
Monitoring reports
We improved the layout of the monitoring reports.
Platform improvements
The platform was migrated to faster storage equipment. Contact management and assets management will benefit from this greatly. The loading of a Webpower license should feel faster and smoother too.
With the latest Webpower release we also upgraded libraries to the latest versions (if possible), giving you the best and most secure version of Webpower ever.
Termination of the dmdelivery.com domain
At the end of this year, Tripolis will expire the usage of <client>.dmdelivery.com domain in favor of <client>.webpower.eu domain. New licenses already use webpower.eu and don’t have to do anything. But our loyal long term customers will need to check their SOAP and REST implementations to see if they use the dmdelivery.com domain. If so, change it to <client>.webpower.eu. We will contact frequent users to help fix this issue.
